So, another raiding night that was expected with fervor considering we stopped Ulduar and is not much else to do. We had only Toc25 heroic left, so.. yey, shiny new items and the hope for a new cloak. We had hight expectations because would have been the first time with 2 holy paladin on Anub so each penetrating cold target would have had a designated healer. Usually the healing set up was 1 holy paladin (because we just didn’t had a second available), 1-2 resto shaman, 1-2 resto druid and 2-3 discipline priest, of course, not all in the same raid
Anyway, ideea is that we failed getting insanity second time. We failed starting from champions (dispelling problem) but I personally thing people were too relaxed because of the long break we had but that’s not the reason of this post… I want to qq because for the first time when i thought I can finely take a breath on Anub and not heal 2 targets, but just one, the add-ons failed us!
Usually everyone has assistance and only one person has enable a boss mod for marking ppl. Not everyone use the same boss mode: we have people with DBM, DXE or… the “updated” mod BigWings. What happen tonight was that when the Penetrating Cold was up, the boss mod was applying marks on people so healers could take care of there targets, but… surprize! another mod changed the marks like in the second 1.2…

So… WHO AM I HEALING?
Result? we failed!
For the next attempt we had of course only one person with assist that had enable on his boss mode the marking on targets with debuff. I am not sure if it was BigWings, but after a bit of chatting in my healers channel, that is what I understand. Seems it uses a different way to mark people with Penetrating Cold that will replace the first marks… We ended with using only DXE so for now I do recommend it if you are still struggling to kill Anub in 25 heroic.
Well… waiting for next reset with another lesson learned i guess.

Saturday night… what else we could do then GDKP run. It became a usual thing and, I personally like it because it’s a way to still enjoy raiding something that normally is very boring. If people want to find minuses to this sort of actions, I am sure there will be enough, but… as long the opportunity is there, is “legal” and it’s give a chance to otter people to get some loot, see the content and… to spent 1 h in a raid that is done properly, why not?!
Of course now everyone gets the gear very easy so the success of a GDKP run is not extremely big, but, I can’t wait to see it done in ICC.
How it started? Like one month ago, one of the guild members came with the idea to make a Gold dkp sell run. The initial thread you can see it here: GDKP Run Discussion. Till now we had 5 runs and all went smood (not like Toc 25 normal can be hard), surprising sometimes considering the amount of gold spent… or not.
For raid here are the criteria for selecting people:
- “The Geared Mains” (The Main Tank, A few healers, A few DPS). Here it was a few of us that organized the run.
- “Geared Mains with Specific Needs” These Mains want one specific item. They likely already have quite good gear, probably dont need anything else, and are only coming back to the instance for something special. The types of items these players need are often trinkets. The best example are the trinkets: Death’s Choice and Reign of the Dead. Everyone wants them but only 1 can get it per reset (from those 25) so the competition is hight. This is not a necessary hard to fill spot, but is more like “just in case it drops”. Continue reading ‘Gold dkp runs’

So, after a bunch of unlucky nights we finely managed. First was an incredible server lag with ppl dc-ing and with huge lag spikes at 10%, then it was people dc’d and even a bug that we still try to figure out what caused.

Even I have copied Bati and 2 more premaid priests on PTR like 1 month ago, only past 2 days I had time to take a look.
First impression was… “euuu, i have normal UI”
but that was fast changed using my own pack. Problems?…Of course there was: Dominos doesn’t work, Satrina Buff frame doesn’t work and… that was in 1h, time spent on PTR (I will post more screen shots when I get home, since I am at work and I only have one that I upload it last night).
The premaid priest is of course an undead! After I made my priest each day I was sorry cos I didn’t roll a forsaken female <3. I really like the animations for casting but last night i did miss my belf racial. Was spamming 2 2 2 2… no Arcane Torrent!
It was only a simple 5 man instance so mana was not a problem for sure, but was just a reflex…

Meh… after meeting ROS, again
a new boss made his entry: PTR lag and… I die like a noob (spike frames plus over 1k latency is not helping if I am the healer ).
Anyway, as you can see in the picture above i have some strange buttons on my left… that’s Xbar, a mod that seems (if you read the description) very customizable, only problem was that I HAD NO IDEA HOW TO…
My PTR adventure was short and I know for sure I will spent there some time this weekend. Is to bad I won’t be able to test more then a heroic because my guild is not there, but at least I will discover some new things. A very important reason is that I would like to update my UI verry fast after the patch so… I will need to test/change a lot of things.
/hugs

EDIT: Check for new UI’s (18.11.2009) – latest is Morphæx. Hakkar EU, <Adrenaline> Guild.
Good morning ! – Waiting to see what you did… not last summer, but with Bati’s UI.
After looking in the comments from my UI wowinterface page i think would be nice to gather up some screenshots. A lot of people have different needs so they have adapt it, and… considering this, would be great if you guys/girls will be posting here.
Here you can upload the screenshots:
You can post it here in a comment or send it via e-mail at tokani11@hotmail.com
A few that i have find over internet and from the download page comments: Continue reading ‘Bati’s UI…Screenshots from players?’

When I have start to play this game I was a total noob like any other starter probably. Addons for me were just a way to trick the game and I was 100% against them.
When my hunter has start raiding, the guild I was in, told me I need to get a few addons… and from that till my current UI was a long way but, I did learn a lot of things and over all this improved my game style.

I am not very good at words, since my English is pretty bad, so I will just make a short recap of the main mods I use.
As any raider I first go for a few mods that i consider them “a must”: Continue reading ‘Bati’s UI… v3.1 – November 2009′

As you can see I only have 15 buttons showed. Stance bar is hiden on the right hand side of the main action bar. You will be able to see it with mouse over it. Same for micromenu (bottom right corner of the screen).
Minimap Button Bag will have a small icon for Dominos. What you can do:
- Left Click = configuration mode
- Shift + Left Click = Binding mode
- Right Click = Option Menu
When you have the bars on your screen you can (need to be with mouse over them):
- Right Click = to configure (a small window will open)
- Middle Click = hide/show
- Mouseweel = set opacity

So… if you want to sort your spells/actions and bindings go on Minimap Button Bag and select the icon for Dominos
- Left Click = configuration mode then go on each bar you want to have it visible and Middle Click = hide/show
- close the configuration mode, put your spells there and go on Minimap button bag and select the icon for Dominos
- Shift + Left Click = Binding mode, so now you can set your bindings.
When you are done close biding mode and go on Minimap Button Bag and select the icon for Dominos
-Left Click = configuration mode, then go on each bar you want to have it hide and Middle Click = hide/show

So… this will be really really short and is only to say thank you, my arena partners. We got tonight Hot Streak and I am really happy because was in 5v5 bracket and this team is fairly new. At the moment we have 1463 rating with 39 wins and … y, 14 looses. We had the chance for this a few times but as usual last one we lost it.
So Thank you
Bloodly
Shammyx
Bloodpigen
Zorinn
And a few minutes ago I got a nice wolf… looks nice to be honest

First of all I am trying to find a theme that is not so shiny but is clear and easy to read so I think this is the one. I still need to sort the heather and I hope that tomorrow will find the time at work to play a bit with images. Until then, enjoy a few more Screenshots:
This is the current UI I use and will get updated this weekend.
And another one that i currently use on my paladin (has a lot of stuffs that are not set yet, like the bars from DXE… are lame positioned atm)…
